Auke Bay Integrated Science Building – Juneau, AK
Two-story, 11,200 square foot classroom, office, and laboratory building. In addition to lab and storage spaces, the new building houses a 40-student classroom, several faculty offices, an open workspace, and a collaboration space, among others. The hands-on learning labs, include a water/soils ecology lab with an attached clean room, and a forest ecology/glaciology/geophysics lab with attached dry room. The building is designed to maximize energy efficiency and is heated and cooled by an air-source heat pump and heat recovery ventilation system.
